Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what guidance he has issued to NHS Trusts on the timescales for responding to correspondence from Members of Parliament.

The Department has not issued any guidance to National Health Service trusts or the ambulance service for responding to correspondence from hon. Members. The Code of Conduct for NHS Managers sets out the core standards of conduct expected of NHS managers and includes their responsibility to answer to Parliament, Ministers and the Department.
