The UK economy is fundamentally strong, with a highly competitive digital sector. The Government is determined to ensure that businesses have stability and certainty in the period leading up to the UK’s departure from the EU, and that we use the opportunities that departure presents for the whole of the UK’s digital and technology industries.

On digital, the UK will not be part of the EU's Digital Single Market, because we will be leaving the Single Market. The Government is undertaking a comprehensive programme of analytical work, looking at the implications of UK withdrawal from the EU. We are seeking input from a wide range of businesses and industry bodies in order to inform our negotiations with the EU.
