Question to the Leader of the House:

To ask the Leader of the House, what the cost to the House has been of payments made to hon. Members who have not taken their seats in the House in respect of their Parliamentary duties, in each of the last 10 years.

The amount of representative money paid to Members of Parliament that have not taken their seats is based on the annual percentage increase of the consumer price index as at the previous December. Attached to this answer is a breakdown of the costs over the last 10 years.
