We do not routinely comment on individual cases but those being deported or removed will have been provided with the opportunity to raise claims prior to their deportation. All claims raised are fully considered and decided upon before deportation including, where applicable, via the Courts.
It is fact that we see a large number of last-minute legal claims from those who are detained for these flights and to ensure that we are meeting our lawful obligations, we must ensure that we carefully consider those claims fully before removal. That does not mean the initial decision to detain them was wrong or that they have a right to remain in the UK.
