Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, pursuant to the Answer of 18 January 2022 to Question 120107 on Dementia: Research, whether money invested by (a) the Japanese government and (b) private investors in Japan as part of the International Science Partnerships Fund will be counted towards the commitment to double funding for dementia research.

UK funding invested in research into dementia, delivered in partnership with other countries, will be counted towards the commitment to double funding for dementia research when funding UK-based researchers. Funding from other countries will not.
