Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, whether his Department plans to steps to repair and improve the condition of the Swing Bridge in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

The Port of Tyne owns the Swing Bridge and has responsibility for its continued operation and maintenance. Any improvements, repairs, or other developments to the bridge are the responsibility of the Port and for them to decide.
