Defra’s office cleaners are provided through a facilities management contract. They are paid the following hourly rates as a minimum, which are in line with those recommended as the real living wage, recommended by the Living Wage foundation:

  • £8.45 outside of the M25
  • £9.75 within the M25

From April 2018, this will rise to:

  • £8.75 outside of the M25
  • £10.20 within the M25
