Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, what information he holds on the rate of remuneration for cleaners in his Department.

The Department does not directly employ cleaners. Cleaning services in buildings managed by the Department are provided under a facilities management contract. The current supplier pays the Living Wage Foundation Living Wage to staff cleaning the Department’s buildings that are not in London.

Cleaning facilities to the Department’s headquarters based in 2 Marsham Street are provided under a contract managed by the Home Office.
