Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, whether his Department plans to issue guidance to pharmaceutical companies entering into negotiations with the commercial medicines unit, as a result of that unit's move to NHS England.

NHS England’s Commercial Medicines Unit (CMU) has not issued any guidance to pharmaceutical companies on entering into negotiations as a result of the Unit’s move to NHS England. Any commercial arrangements entered into by the CMU would be on a basis prescribed by the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.

The Department did not issue any guidance upon the Commercial Medicines Unit’s move to NHS England and there are no plans to do so.
