Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what recent assessment he has made of levels of violence and displacement in Rakhine State.

We remain deeply concerned by the suffering inflicted on the Rohingya people. Violence in Rakhine has decreased, but about 100 people a day are still crossing the border. More than 688,000 Rohingya have fled from Burma to Bangladesh since late August 2017.
