Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what proportion of people convicted under animal cruelty legislation received a life ban from keeping animals.

In 2016 there were over 800 people convicted for offences under the Animal Welfare Act 2006 however records of disqualification orders are not held centrally and so it is not possible to provide an accurate reply.
