Question to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:

To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, what the outcome has been of discussions between Ofgem and the Sefton Local Authority on a data sharing agreement.

Ofgem is currently developing a register for all local authorities to enable them to notify measures under the Energy Company Obligation. That register will have an in-built digital solution for data sharing. In the meantime, Ofgem is exploring the most efficient manual approach to achieve this with all local authorities in Scotland, England and Wales. This has included discussions with the Local Government Association.
