The Prime Minister and UK Ministers including the Foreign Secretary and International Development Secretary will be discussing a range of humanitarian and development issues, including the refugee crisis, with Commonwealth partners at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting. Officials will also be attending relevant side events, including the International Rescue Committee’s event on what the Commonwealth has to offer women and girls forced to flee conflict and crisis. These discussions will be particularly important in the context of the ongoing discussions on a UN Global Compact on Refugees due to be adopted later this year.
