Humanitarian access in Cox’s Bazar has improved since the current crisis began in August 2017 and more than one hundred humanitarian organisations are currently operating there. International non-governmental organisations face ongoing challenges with securing and renewing visas and permits however. UK Ministers and officials continue to liaise with their Government of Bangladesh counterparts on this issue.
