Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, on (a) how many occasions and (b) which class of train there have been reports of camera failure since the introduction of driver only operation services on Southern train services.

We do not hold the information requested as the operator is not obligated to provide it to the Department. Please note that Driver Only Operation has been used safely on what we now call the Southern network since the 1980s, when it was introduced by British Rail.
