The Department for Transport (DfT) is made up of a number of constituent parts including DVLA, DVSA, Government Car Service, Maritime and Coastguard Agency as well as DfT(c). In answering the question, we have taken “IT System” to mean “the entirety of a logical contained set-up consisting of associated hardware and software”.

DFT has:

15 Systems over 3 years old

33 Systems over 5 years old

62 Systems over 8 years old

DFT ensures that all systems, regardless of age, are protected.
