Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many applications for the new British nationality route for people of Chagossian descent have been (a) received and (b) approved by her Department since 23 November 2022.

The Home Office does not routinely publish data on how many applications for citizenship have been received or approved under a specific registration provision, including the provision being referenced here.

The most recent published data on citizenship applications was issued in November 2022.
