Question to the Department for Education:
To ask the Secretary of State for Education, pursuant to the Answer of 16 April 2018 to Question 135177, how many of the applicants for the position of Chair of the Social Mobility Commission were (a) women and (b) BAME.
This question was answered on 11th May 2018
We received 21 applications for the role of Chair of the Social Mobility Commission. Of those 21 applicants, 20 completed diversity monitoring forms. A detailed breakdown is set out below:
