To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, how much and what proportion of funding for clinical cancer research has been spent in each region of the UK in the latest period for which data is available.
This information is not collected in the format requested. The Department funds research through the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR). The following table provides expenditure on all health and care cancer research in 2020/21 by the NIHR’s Local Clinical Research Network regions.
