Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what recent assessment he he has made of the potential effect of at-home abortion on the health and safety of women.
This question was answered on 21st March 2022
We assessed and considered evidence from the responses received through the Government’s consultation on the temporary approval which allowed home use of both pills for early medical abortion during the COVID-19 pandemic. We will continue to monitor the wellbeing and safety of women requiring access to abortion services.
