Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what plans the Government has to bring forward legislative proposals on pavement parking.

Local authorities already have powers to restrict pavement parking. However, the Department for Transport is currently gathering evidence on the issue of pavement parking, and will be considering the effectiveness of current legislation. We expect to be able to draw conclusions later this year.
