Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, for what reason the Government has ended funding for the ZOE COVID study.
This question was answered on 15th March 2022
Due to the reduction in serious illness and deaths from COVID-19 we have begun a new phase of living with the virus. We will continue to monitor COVID-19 through studies such as the Office for National Statistics’ COVID Infection Survey, SIREN and Vivaldi and many data sources. We will also continue genome sequencing of cases to provide further insights.
