Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, pursuant to the Answer of 8 June 2020 to Question 51598, what recent representations he has made to his Egyptian counterpart on Rami Kamil.

We are following the case of Ramy Kamel closely. Our Embassy in Cairo is in regular contact with his lawyer and has expressed our concern at his ongoing detention to the Egyptian authorities. Most recently, our Ambassador to Egypt raised his case with the President of Egypt's National Council for Human Rights on 18 November 2020.
