Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what information he holds on the origin of the covid-19 pandemic; and what steps he is taking to identify the origin of that pandemic.

A transparent, independent and science-led investigation is an important part of the international effort to understand the origins of COVID-19. The World Health Organization convened a group of independent experts to begin a study and phase one reported on 30 March 2021. Our priority is to ensure a timely, transparent, evidence-based and expert-led phase two.
