Anyone with symptoms can get a COVID-19 home test. Education and childcare workers are considered essential workers. Essential workers can order four tests for themselves and other symptomatic members of their households. For households of more than four people, the Test and Trace Contact Centre can raise an order on someone’s behalf.

Local authorities are encouraged to target testing at people who are unable to work from home during the national lockdown including education and childcare workers.
