Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what data his Department holds on the use of restraint on children in hospital settings.

Table 17 of the Mental Health Bulletin: 2021-22 England Inpatients Reference Tables document, published as part of the Mental Health Bulletin, 2021-22 Annual report, provides data on uses of restrictive intervention by age and type of restraint. The document is available at the following link:
