Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, how many seafarer Ratings were trained using apprenticeships agreed with the Maritime Trailblazer Working Group in each year since 2015.

The number of seafarer ratings trained using apprenticeships is steadily increasing in each year since the able seafarer (deck) apprenticeship was introduced in August 2015 bringing the total number of seafarers trained through this route to 70. The annual breakdown is in the table below:
