Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, when she plans to achieve good maritime environmental status.

Plans for the achievement of good environmental status (GES) are set out in the UK Marine Strategy. Through this we assess the status of UK seas and set the criteria, targets and indicators to be used in assessing GES.
