Question to the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero:

To ask the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, how many applications there have been for (a) revenue and (b) capital grants under the Heat Network Efficiency Scheme.

The Heat Network Efficiency Scheme (HNES), the £32m grant programme, opened for applications on Tuesday 7^th February 2023 with the first funding round closing to applicants on 31^st March 2023. As of 8^th February 2023 the Government has not received any applications (revenue or capital), nor allocated any funding.
