Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, on what date the Severn Bridges will (a) return to public ownership and (b) no longer incur a cost to all bridge users.

The Severn River Crossings are due to come back into public ownership in late 2017/early 2018; a final date is still to be determined. The Government consulted on future tolls at the Severn Bridges from January to March this year. We have listened carefully and will announce next steps in due course.
