Adoption: Self-employed

Question to the Department for Education:
To ask the Secretary of State for Education, what estimate he has made of the number of self-employed people seeking to adopt.

The Adoption and Special Guardianship Leadership Board collects and publishes information on adopter registrations and adopter approvals. Personal information on prospective adopters is, however, not collected. As a result, the department cannot estimate how many are employed or self-employed.
