The Home Office collects and publishes information on the number hate crime offences recorded by the police by monitored strand, including racial hate crime, in England and Wales. Data are not available at a lower geographical level than Police Force Area. The latest data, including figures for the West Midlands, are published here: https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/651921/prc-hate-crime-open-data.ods

Data for 2017/18 are due to be published in October 2018.

This Government is committed to tackling hate crime. The UK has a strong legislative framework and there is a cross Government approach through the Hate Crime Action Plan, due to be refreshed later this year.
