Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what steps his Department has taken to ensure that Security Industry Authority licence renewals are issued on time.

The Security Industry Authority (SIA) is an Executive Non-Departmental Body (NDPB) of the Home Office. The SIA is operationally independent.

The Home Office receives regular performance updates from the SIA, including information around the processing of licence applications.
