To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, how many contractors currently employed by his Department are paid £1,000 or more per day.

The Home Department has one contractor currently engaged on a day rate that exceeds £1,000 per day. The contractor is engaged on a part time basis for six days per month providing specialist advice to the Department.
