Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, what steps his Department is taking to develop a robust understanding of modern methods of construction performance under fire, flood, escape of water and other events.

The Department continues to work with industry, including through the Building Regulations Advisory Committee, to develop its understanding of the implications of modern methods of construction for Building Regulations’ requirements.
