Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, pursuant to the Answer of 12 September 2017 to Question 7537, what the evidential basis is for the research that showed that the majority of universal credit claimants are comfortable managing their budgets.

The Universal Credit Extended Gateway Evaluation provided evidence that indicated that a large majority of Universal Credit claimants are comfortable managing their budgets.
