Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, how many asylum seekers are housed in (a) Stockport borough and (b) Stockport constituency.

The latest published Immigration Statistics detail the number of supported asylum seekers accommodated in each local authority area. Data are published on a quarterly basis, with the latest information published 24 November 2022. The next quarterly figures are due to be released in late February 2023.

There are no hotels for unaccompanied asylum seeking children (UASC) in Stockport.

The Home Office does not hold data for the number of adult and children asylum seekers that were accommodated via the Home Office that are missing in a reportable format and it would require a manual search of records which would incur a disproportionate cost.
