Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:
To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, what steps his Department is taking to help ensure that new council housing is of adequate quality.

All new housing, including council housing, must meet the requirements of the building regulations and any development plan policies on design quality through the planning system.
