Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, if she will take steps to significantly reduce the cost of (a) an initial and (b) a renewal application for a child's passport.

Passport fees are set to recover the full cost of providing the service in line with HM Treasury Managing Public Money Guidance. Fees are reviewed annually to ensure compliance with that guidance and at this stage there are no plans to reduce the fee charged for children’s passports.
