Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, how many applications for community trigger anti-social behaviour case reviews were (a) received, (b) accepted and (c) rejected in each year since 2015.

The Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 introduced specific measures designed to give victims and communities a say in the way that complaints of anti-social behaviour are dealt with. The Community Trigger, also known as the anti-social behaviour case review, gives victims of persistent anti-social behaviour the ability to demand a formal case review (where a locally defined threshold is met), in order to determine whether there is further action which can be taken.

Data on the use of the ASB powers locally is not collated centrally. The powers in the 2014 Act are deliberately local in nature and it is for local agencies to determine whether their use is appropriate in specific circumstances.
