Camping Sites: Fires

Question to the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities:
To ask the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, if he will make it his policy to allow landowners to operate campsites for 56 days a year under permitted development rules without obtaining full planning permission.

Whether or not campfires are allowed in a certain location is not a planning matter. We are currently consulting on the introduction of a new permitted development right to support temporary recreational campsites for up to 60 days per year. The consultation is open until Tuesday 25 April 2023 and further details can be found at the following link.
