Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, whether all new homes are required to be built with charging facilities for (a) electric cars, (b) e-bikes and (c) e-scooters.

The government has introduced minimum requirements for all new buildings with associated parking to have EV charging infrastructure. This will lead to the installation of up to 145,000 new chargepoints across England every year. The new requirements come into force on 15 June 2022. E-bikes, e-scooters and other micro-mobility vehicles are compatible with a standard 3 pin plug.
