We continue to work with local authorities, the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government and stakeholders to understand the impact that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on carers. We have taken steps to help carers during the pandemic, including providing £11.6 million to charities to fund support, publishing tailored guidance, providing free personal protective equipment for those advised to use it, prioritising access to vaccinations and funding infection prevention and control measures in day and respite services.
