Question to the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero:
To ask the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, what assessment he has made of the impact of changes to the warm homes discount eligibility criteria on the number of homes eligible for that discount.
The Government expanded the Warm Home Discount from around £350 million to £475 million (in 2020 prices) to support more low-income and vulnerable households. The estimated impacts were set out in the final impact assessment published alongside the response to the consultation. The final figure for the amount of support delivered under the scheme in 2022/23 will be available in Ofgem’s annual report later in the year.
