Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what recent estimate her Department has made of the number of people in the UK who are failed asylum seekers.

Failed asylum seekers become subject to removal action once their claim has been assessed and subsequently refused and any appeal rights become exhausted either through non submission of an appeal or any appeal lodged to the independent judiciary is dismissed.
