Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what discussions his Department has held with HM Treasury on the potential introduction of a road toll system in the UK.

Any changes to the tax system are a matter for the Chancellor of the Exchequer to consider. The Department has not had discussions with HM Treasury regarding a system of road tolling.
