Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, how many and what proportion of universal credit couple households are in work.

The information requested is not readily available and to provide it would incur disproportionate cost.

However the latest available Universal Credit statistical data published on 12 June shows that, of the 920,000 people on Universal Credit as of 10 May 2018, 37 per cent were in employment.
