Question to the Home Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, whether he has made an assessment of the length of time indefinite leave to remain applications take to complete.
The current maximum waiting time for a straightforward application for indefinite leave to remain under the settlement route is six months, there are currently no plans to change this.
In the past year there have been a number of policy amendments across specific ILR routes. Information relating to these amendments, and the specific ILR routes these affect, are communicated via the GOV.UK website.
