Question to the Department for Education:
To ask the Secretary of State for Education, how many students have enrolled in international higher education programmes in each of the last five years.
Data on UK students studying abroad is published by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) at tertiary level and is available at the following link: http://uis.unesco.org/en/uis-student-flow. Tertiary education is defined as International Standard Classification of Education levels 5-8.
