Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, whether her Department plans to collect information on the number of people (a) failing and (b) ceasing to claim universal credit as a result of the complexity of the process.

We do not plan to collect this information.

However, the latest Universal Credit Full Service Claimant Survey published on 8 June 2018, found that the majority of claimants found the claim process either very or fairly easy.
